I love cafes, and this is one of my favourites. It's in busy Shimbashi, and offers a really simple menu... Coffee! There is a choice of hot or iced, and the blend is expertly selected by the master Mr. Mizoguchi. A great place to relax quietly, or enjoy conversation. Contrary to popular belief, I do actually read books. In fact I've read several, some without pictures inside. I enjoy a variety of genres especially if they are given to me for free. I'll read anything. Click on the link below to discover the sources of my inimitable wit and incalculable knowledge. If three hundred thousand of you buy my recommended books from Amazon, then I'll be a millionaire, so credit cards at the ready! It's my only chance. As I live in Japan I have to watch 'movies' in something called a 'theater', rather than see a 'film' at the 'pictures', and I have to pay a large sum of money for the privilege. Luckily, this being Japan, I always get a good view but miss the adverts for the local curry house, just around the corner. Now sit back, get comfortable with some popcorn, then click below to view a selection of my favourite movies (like you really care!). This section IS suitable for children, but I'm not sure about adults. Click on the image above, or follow the link below.
As the years go by I often return to the sounds of my youth. Unfortunately that was the early 80's and my judgment was impaired by peroxide and the chemicals in my eye-liner. I still love the music, just don't show me the photos. These days I do listen to a wide selection of music and like everyone else of my age group, believe my I-Pod is an education for young people the world over in what is cool and groovy or whatever expression is hip. Click the link dudes, I dare you, and be shocked by how tuned-in to the vibes I still am. Click on the image above, or follow the link below.
The Edo-Tokyo museum is a great place to learn about the two main periods of this great city. The first period was when the country had very restricted contact with the outside world. The second period was from the mid-19th century, after the leaders were forced to open up to modern outside trade and influence. Click on the image above, or follow the link below.
