Winter
The weather is extremely cold during winter, and the temperature might drop to -2 degrees Celsius. The shops and eateries are closed early due to the short day and chilly weather outside. It is advisable to carry woolen wear if you visit Darjeeling during the winter months.

The building is located at Laden La Road with a signboard where the name of the building is written. The shop sells handcrafts made by poor women from the locality. The shop offers a lot of handmade goods to explore at a reasonable price.
The Ghum Monastery, also known as the YeigaChoeling Monastery, is an ancient monastery of the Sakya order. It is located 8km away from the main town and offers exotic natural beauty. The statue inside the monastery is believed to be of the future Buddha. It also stores Tibetan translations of prominent Sanskrit Works like Kalidasa’sMeghdoot, Sriharsa’sNagamandala, and more.
