'Chaturdash Devata' or Fourteen Goddess Temple is a popular place situated at Old Agartala (around 14 Km from the Agartala). It is a pilgrimage, well-known for organizing the Kharchi festival in July. Maharaja Krishna Manikya constructed this temple in 1760 AD when he shifted the capital from Udaipur to Old Agartala due to the continued fight with Shamser Gazi. According to popular belief, one who visits this temple once, comes to Agartala fourteen times more.
