Neermahal, also known as The Lake Palace of Tripura, is a must-watch place - if you are in Agartala. ‘Manikya Dynasty’, supposed to be the second longest remaining dynasty in the world, possesses this unique water palace in the middle of Lake Rudrasagar. Maharaja BirBikram Kishore ManikyaDebbarma commissioned the British company Martin and Burns to build this spectacular structure in 1921, the summer lodging of the royal family. It offers a unique blend of Hindu and Mughal architecture. The marble and sandstone-made dome-shaped miners are the profusion of balconies, towers, pavilions, and bridges.
