The Ujjayanta Palace, named by Rabindranath Tagore, is the former royal palace of the princely state Tripura. The property used to be the State Legislative Assembly until 2011 and later made the State Museum of Tripura. Martin and Burn Co. constructed the entire structure under Maharaja Radha Kishore Manikya in 1901. A garden inspired by the European style encircled the palace. One can explore the ethnic lifestyle, art & culture, and traditional items of northeast India, along with other artifacts and coinages of the Manikya dynasty.
