Mahabhairav Temple

The ancient Mahabhairav Temple is situated on a hillock, north of Tezpur town. The temple has mythological significance; according to popular belief, the temple was built by King Banasura. Devotees believe the Shiv Linga is a 'Living Stone' which grows over slowly over the years.
