Lamayuru Monastery

Lamayuru Monastery is another worth visiting place near Kargil (102 km). This Tibetan Buddhist monastery, also known as Yuru Monastery, is situated at Lamayouro, Leh. It is one of the largest & oldest gompas in Ladakh. Apart from religious and cultural significance, the monastery is known for its eye-catchy architecture and location.
