Vivekananda Rock

Vivekananda Rock Memorial is the main tourist attraction site in Kanyakumari. Built in 1970 to honor the incidence of enlightenment of Swami Vivekananda, this rock is also considered the place where Goddess Kanyakumari performed Tapas (severe mediation). DhyanaMandapam (meditation hall) is attached to the memorial for visitors where they can meditate.
